HANGAR 9 TITANIUM LINKS

h9links

These links are the best for adjusting! Right hand thread on one end and left hand thread on the other. Right and Left threaded Ball links are available on the "clevis" page. Once installed, you don't have to remove an end to make an adjustment, just turn the link with the "link wrench" offered below. You can make very minor adjustments which is especially useful with multiple servos one a single control surface.

HOW TO FIGURE THE LENGTHS OF H9 TITANIUM LINKS REQUIRED

2 METHODS!!

NOTE: It is best to have the titanium link screwed as far as possible into the clevis/ball link. While using just 3 threads minimum will work, it may be possible to bend the clevis/ball link's shank or induce play. Therefore, use the longest titanium link possible.

THREADED ROD ENDS

$9.95   Part# CCCFPRE

IN STOCK

Quantity:

Threaded 4-40 pushrod ends for 0.188" CF rod from Clay's Hobbies. (package of 4)

These rod ends are superior to the fully threaded rod because they eliminate the possibility of the CF rod splitting at the ends because they capture the CF rods. Use rubberized CA or J-B Weld to glue the ends in place. The threads are 4-40 so they will work with any of the 4-40 clevises' that we offer.

sulrod

$1.49   Part# DUB379

IN STOCK

Quantity:

DUBRO 12" fully threaded 4-40 rod (package of 1)

We use this for pull-pull cable systems. Not recommended for push-pull systems over 2" long unless supported with CF rod. It fits perfectly into the .188" CF rod above which can be used up to 4' in length.

Sullivan graphite Nyrod # S584

$5.99  Part# SUL584

IN STOCK

Quantity:

Splined Carbon Filled Nylon, 4-40, 36" length.

This is the best pushrod to use if you don't have a straight shot from the throttle servo to the engine. It does not change length with temperature as much as normal Nyrod. If you use normal Nyrod it is typical that the engine rpm will be higher when you land because of the heat which goes into the Nyrod and makes it longer. Since your idle is now higher, it's difficult to land, so you must lower the throttle trim setting... but if you lower the trim too much the engine dies and not enough and you go around again and again. This carbon filled Nyrod is the way to prevent this.

Use with ball snap link for easy installation. Click on photo to link to the clevis page.
