DA-50:

KS double bend header
|
| These are wrap around headers for the DA-50. They are 25mm in diameter. They look like a question mark. Flex versions have 2" of flex in them. They are for the DA-50 which is mounted inverted.
Weight: 4.4 oz
Length: 8.5" from center of exhaust flange to end of pipe.
| TBM TIP
DETERMINING HEADER DROP
The distance from the center of the crankshaft to the center of the exhaust port is 2 3/4". So if you want to determine which drop header is required, measure from the center of the firewall down
2 3/4" and assume that this is the center of a 1" tube running back to a 2.5" diameter canister. The tube will run into the center of the canister. the canister should be in the center of the tunnel. |
TBM TIP
The flex pipes are slightly easier to install though they have a tendency to leak oil through the flex, and the flex can break. A few wraps of Teflon tape cures the leak. The non flex pipes are made with 2.5 degrees of right thrust built in so they install easily and won't leak or break. |
