These have programmable digital circuitry. They are fast but not powerful. They are good for throttles on large gas planes, but they are very, very marginal for control surfaces for planes which are 40cc gas or larger. They are OK for glow powered planes under 9 pounds with 3D rates.

HOWEVER they are marginal for high energy 3D or high speed flight. For 30% planes it is best to use HS-5985 servos for high speed or hard 3D.

The NEW HS7955 series digital servo with 333 oz-in of torque (on 6V).

This is the replacement for the HS5955, the new HS7955, which offers twice the resolution of Hitec's first generation servos, while adding programmable resolution and overload protection features. The existing programmer will work with the new servos, but with limited capabilities. The new HFP-20 programmer is required to activate the new programmable functions of the HS7955 series.
